Wow! With new members we have grown to a group of 114!! Welcome to all our new members! Together we can make a great impact within our community.

At tonight’s meeting, we had presentations from the Charleston Food Pantry, Reader’s Bridge and Girls on the Run of East Central Illinois. The Charleston Food Pantry provides food essentials to local families who meet poverty guidelines in our community. Filling the gap for non-residents, Reader’s Bridge provides 90% of the cost of a library card for non-residents in need, allowing access to our local libraries and all the resources card holders have access to. Finally, Girls on the Run inspires and empowers young girls in after school programs. It was a very close vote! The tally proved the Charleston Food Pantry the recipient for the first quarter.

For those not in attendance at tonight’s meeting, you’ll soon be receiving a communication with instructions for submitting your check. After these are in, the recipient page will be updated with our total for the quarter. Thank you to all involved!

Please join us on March 7th from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Mattoon Golf and Country Club for a social event and get to know your fellow 100 Women.

Next quarter’s presentations will be held on April 25th and will be facilitated by:

  • Lorraine Malmborg
  • Catherine & Mary Bovard
  • Helen Hendren, Pam Moore, Linda Hendren, and Sharon Nichols
